Bathroom Facelift: What Would You Do?

Hello!

I hope you’re having a great week!  Lots going on this week – working on the condo kitchen I talked about here and where I asked for your design opinions if your client let you select paint colors and finishes in a space.  As always, you did not disappoint!  Wonderful ideas, and I think we were on the same page with many of them.  You pushed me over the top to move forward with some I had been thinking about.

Here is a peek with where I am with it now – subtle changes, but sometimes the subtle changes are big changes, right?  I went with a classic neutral on the walls – Revere Pewter (Benjamin Moore).  I have seen lots of rooms painted in this color, but hadn’t used it firsthand until now.  It really is gorgeous.

I received the new knobs and pulls from D. Lawless Hardware, and I can’t wait to put the doors and drawers back in place.  The cabinet color I chose is Navajo White (Benjamin Moore) – a warm, pretty white – not as stark as the white that was on the doors previously, and it really works well with the Revere Pewter.

This job has grown in scope as it’s progressed, which has been a lot of fun – especially since I’ve essentially been given “creative freedom” in choosing the different colors and finishes.  That said, I have been tasked with updating the two bathroom vanities in this condo.  Although I have a feeling that I won’t be able to leave it just at the vanities – walls may have to be painted in order for me to sleep at night.

Take a peek at what I’m starting with in both of these bathrooms:

I took the doors off in haste and forgot to snap a photo.  Lots of wood appliques – this time in a shell formation…

I recreated the door set up so you could see what it looked like.  Definitely dated, yes?

Originally, I was planning on making use of the same paint I used on the kitchen cabinets.  But I’ve decided to go darker instead.  Something along these lines in terms of color:

The more time I spend at this condo, the more I want to pretty her up!

What do you think?  Darker cabinets in the bathrooms?  I’m all ears my friends!

Definitely loving the darker, especially with the gold/brass handles. Maybe something to spice up the mirror?
