November Kitchen Rehabs + Christmas Tours!

Hello friends!

I’ve been busy getting my home ready for this year’s 12 Days of Christmas tour, and I’m so excited for this year’s round up!  Sharing my home motivates me to get my house in order (and knock some items of my long to-do list).  So between the tour and my cookie exchange this weekend, I have my work cut out for me!  Lots of great tours and new bloggers participating, and Lynch Creek Farm is sponsoring us with some gorgeous holiday greenery, so you won’t want to miss it!  I’m kicking things off tomorrow, along with 11 Magnolia Lane, so get ready!

Until then, I thought I’d share a couple of my November kitchens, as you all know it was a whirlwind trying to get things done before the Thanksgiving holiday.  I’ve been tying up some loose ends with these kitchens this week, but had to share some of the great new looks.

This first one has been a long time coming.  I started on this kitchen back in September, but we had to wait for the carpenter to do his work before I could come in and finish.  So, it’s been awhile to get to the finished product.  It’s a kitchen with great bones, and it really looks fantastic.

Let’s look at the before photos – solid doors, beautiful beams and plenty of space.

Oak Kitchen Before

You can see that the carpenter added trim to the island (love it), and crown molding to the top  of the cabinets.  A little molding goes a long way!  I’m loving the new light fixtures too.  So fresh.

The carpenter is going to reattach the lower left cabinet – they’re changing it to a pull out trash can.

Beautiful cup pulls and knobs from D. Lawless Hardware too.

And isn’t the island stunning with the new trim work?

The second kitchen I’m sharing isn’t completely finished, but worth sharing even in its current state.  I’m absolutely loving the direction the homeowners are going with the design elements, and can’t wait to see it all pulled together.

Here it is before – certainly not bad, but the homeowners were tired of the yellowish look of the cabinets and wanted something cleaner and more crisp.

Cream Kitchen Before

Sorry for this blurry photo – didn’t realize it was so fuzzy on my phone!

The homeowners are drawing inspiration from this beautiful kitchen – and I admit to being smitten with this kitchen after seeing photos floating around the web.

White Kitchen Brick Backsplash

It’s still in progress, as you can see – I’m working on a new hood for the space, and they still need to grout and whitewash the brick.

But I’m completely obsessed with that brick backsplash!!

Gorgeous hardware from D. Lawless Hardware – I’m loving it!  Such great contrast with the design elements going on here.

I’ll be sure to share the final photos once it’s complete, but it was too pretty not to share, even in its partially finished state!

More to come – check back tomorrow to kick off the Christmas tour!

Jenny – what color / brand of paint was used on the kitchen cabinets featured with the brick backsplash?

If memory serves, these cabinets were painted in White Dove (a Benjamin Moore color).
