Hardwood Floors, Family Photos and {FREE} Holiday Cards

Hello friends!

Thanks for all of your votes on the fireplace eye candy.  They were all gorgeous, weren’t they?  So hard to choose, like many of you, I couldn’t pick a favorite!

The hardwood floors are coming along beautifully!  Every day feels like Christmas with the progress they make each day – today they got most of the stairs completed, and it is like a night and day difference!  I’m extremely happy with the results I’ve seen so far, and I’m anxious to put our house back together again.  Here is a preview…

Daylight savings time is making picture taking more and more difficult with my limited hours of light these days.  I promise better photos on the full reveal. 🙂

Now that we’re headed into the holidays full steam ahead (I even heard Christmas music in the store the other day), it’s time to think about holiday photos and holiday cards.  I don’t know about you, but I tend to avoid family photos like the plague because they usually end up with me as a hot mess and the rest of the family complaining about having to dress up and pose for the camera.  Nevermind that the odds of getting a photo where everyone looks happy, alert and composed (with eyes OPEN), are about 1 in 10,000,000,000.

One of the tasks in the whole family photo process is that of outfit coordination.  I’m talking beyond the white shirt and khakis, people.  And thankfully, there is lots of help out there.  Google “family photo outfits” and you’ll get all sorts of fantastic ideas.

This one is really cute, even though the mom appears to have been in a magic show accident of some sort…

I seriously could spend hours out here perusing styles for my holiday cards.  Who am I kidding?  I do spend hours, agonizing over holiday card styles, because they’re so darn cute!  Perhaps that’s why my cards typically arrive after Christmas…  I’m really trying to get ahead of the game this year though, I swear.
