Hello!
I hope you’ve had a good week – it’s been a rainy, humid one here, but dang, our grass looks good. It makes me feel a little bit better that the kids have been in school, because if they were home, the rain would not have made for a productive week. Not that they were in the mood for being productive before going back to school or anything… Let’s get on with this week’s Friday 5+1! This post contains some affiliate links.
I discovered 3M’s flexible sandpaper (this brain child of an invention) while I was at Haven, and I’m wondering why it took so long for someone to think of this. It’s flexible sandpaper, people. The backing on it is almost like a rubber-type of material, so you can roll it up and sand in all of those crazy crevices (think of spindly legs on a chair). So smart!
For some reason, I keep calling these things “bench biscuits” instead of “bench cookies”, but either way, these bench cookies are a great accessory to add to your toolbox. They’re great little grippers to use on your workbench when you need to raise something up a bit to work on it (I used them as a base for a cabinet door that I was sanding).
I read The Balance Project (on my Kindle vs. my usual Audiobook) at the beach this summer, and it was a quick, easy, summer read. Hurry up and read it before summer is over!
Bloodline on Netflix
Bloodline is one of those sleeper series that is really good, but not many people are aware of it. If you’re getting the rain that we’ve been getting – use it as an excuse to park yourself on the couch and watch it. We’re on to season two, so you don’t have much catching up to do. 😉
Vacation Rentals in Outer Banks
If I ever win the lottery, I’m renting a place like this and inviting you to join me. This summer was the second year we’ve visited Outer Banks, and we just love it there.
My +1 for the week – I’ll let the picture do the talking… I think the blonde hair coloring has killed a few too many brain cells.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Jenny
