My Festive Winter Kitchen Tour

Welcome!  I’m so excited to be joining forces with 11 Magnolia Lane again this year to pull this tour together.  And I’m even more excited to give you all a tour of my kitchen decorated for the holidays!  If you’re new here, we undertook a complete kitchen remodel this year, so I’m beside myself to deck it out for the holidays this year.  This has been such a long time coming, and if you can believe it, my kitchen has changed since I took these photos over the weekend.  Our backsplash is now installed, meaning that my kitchen remodel is officially done.  So, I’ll share that soon, I promise.  But for now, let’s just appreciate it for what it is – ready for holiday entertaining.  I’m hosting my cookie exchange this Saturday, and can’t wait to celebrate with friends in this kitchen.  This post contains some affiliate links.

Winter Kitchen Decorating

I opted to keep things on the “wintry” side with my kitchen decor – I like that it transcends Christmas, but is still festive and beautiful.  So, we’ll call it a “festive winter kitchen” vibe.  As always, I incorporated an abundance of wreaths and plenty of greenery.

You can see that I also incorporated touches of navy, which coordinates with the kitchen, as well as the adjoining family room.

I picked up these cute little wreaths at Hobby Lobby last year, and never had a chance to use them.  I’m glad I had them on hand this year (four of them no less).  They’re just the simple detail that I wanted for my bar stools.

An Abundance of Greenery

The wreath love continues in the beverage/seating area.  Would you believe I found these wreaths at Walmart?  I grabbed the last three that they had on the shelves.  And yes, I realize I have a problem with my wreath collecting.

This area of the kitchen is truly one of my favorites.  We all use it daily for coffee, water, wine, you name it.  It’s a hardworking little corner, and I love it.  Murphy decided to get in on the action because I obviously wasn’t paying enough attention to him.

For the island, I opted for a decorative tray with some pretty winter goodies and my version of an indoor winter porch pot made with fresh greenery.  If you want to learn how to make them, check out my winter porch pot tutorial here.  They’re so easy, are always a big bang for your buck.  I used a champagne bucket for my indoor version, and it hits the mark.

Decorative Touches

I’m loving all things bells this year, and added some glittery jingle bells as a vase filler.  And don’t worry, the candle isn’t real, but it will fool you when it’s turned on, I promise.  The first time I saw a Luminara candle, it was underneath a cloche, and I thought for sure the shop I was in was going to go up in flames.  These candles are the real deal.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my festive winter kitchen tour and are ready for more!  Next up is Sincerely Marie Designs.  A full recap of the tours to date is listed below in case you missed something!

Love it. Question-what did you use to hang the barstool ribbon from to keep the wreaths from falling off?

I used a little gold tack. No one will ever know it was there, since it’s going in to an area that’s covered. 🙂

Your kitchen is straight out of a Christmas magazine! I love it and can see why you use the coffee/wine bar! The seating there is perfect. I’ve always wanted a seating area in our kitchen. Love all of your wintry ideas. Thank you for including me in the hop.

Your kitchen is to die for! I just got cabinet painting done and changed my cabinets to that dark blue color. If Evolution of Style does it, I do it 😉 Thanks for all your work an inspiration you give (:
