Dining Room Evolution – Bamboo Blinds

I’m continuing to work on my dining room and have added another layer of detail – bamboo blinds.

To refresh your memory – my inspiration photo…

As much as I love the drapes in this photo, I have to admit, my Hummingbird-with-A-D-D nature has buzzed over to some more pretty possibilities.

Enter (Vodka) Tonic Living.  Ok, it’s not called Vodka Tonic Living, but that should be a website all on it’s own, don’t you think?  I would definitely be a follower.  And would totally enter their giveaways if they had them.  But Tonic Living is a fab website I discovered ala Rambling Renovators since she’s having a giveaway this week and has some gorgeous drapes that she ordered from their site.

So, I ordered some fabric swatches.  Including this one:

And this:

And this:
And this beauty…
I mean, how is a girl supposed to stay focused, with prettiness like this all around?
So, a quick recap on this Dining Room Evolution to date (apologies for the difference in the look of the paint color – the latest photo was taken on a cold, gray day).

It is looking so great. Don't know if you were going to replace your light fixture, but after looking at your inspiration photo it reminded me of a light fixture I saw at Home Depot. Thought I would share, here is the link.

Ahh they're up! The blinds look great in there, Jenny! And the fabrics are so fun…I think Courtney from A Thoughtful Place has that second one, Sweet William I think? I have the coral version fabric swatch from Tonic Living (love that site by the way, they have great fabrics and are so nice.) Your dining room has already evolved so much just from taking down the wallpaper and changing the color scheme!

They look really good! Oh, and those curtain choices are just beautiful. I have SUCH a hard time choosing curtains. They are my hardest design element for sure. Good luck!

Love how this room is evolving! Are those outside mount blinds? We've been wanting bamboo blinds for our kitchen but they would have to be outside mounts and I wasn't sure about that.

Wow, you and I have some very similar taste. I currently have dark brown bamboo blinds on my family room, and I love them. I also happen to have the sweet William fabric in my living room, so if you want to see how they look, stop by my blog! I love how you are taking your time with this room, I have noticed that when I do the same, I end up really loving the results. Good luck!
