April in Review and a Linky Party!

Hello lovelies!

I hope you’re having a great week.  We have had glorious weather the past couple of days, so I have started some serious garage organization.  It seems to be working, because I have gone out there in search of three things and found each of them in less than a minute.  Compare this to an average of a 20 minute search (on a good day), that’s some major progress.

So, let’s recap this past month and get on to the fun part – seeing what YOU have been working on!

A big thrill for me this month was having my kitchen cabinet tutorial featured here on BobVila.com

I also shared some Craiglist craziness that I came across this month.  I’m finding more and more too, so I have this on the docket as a potential series with all of the material I’m finding.

Last I checked, this carving was still available.  I know, can you believe someone hasn’t snatched it up already?  It is from Oklahoma, after all…

I am officially out of the rat race and have been adjusting to being at home full-time more quickly than I even imagined.  It’s funny how easy it is to adjust to a mountain of stress being lifted from your shoulders. 🙂

With my freedom from the corporate world, I have been able to peruse more of my favorite shops and boutiques, not to mention, garage sales.  I shared some thrift-a-licous finds and some with prices that were too steep for me.

Along with the thrifty finds, there are some places that offer wonderful, unique pieces that won’t break your budget.  Love these sorts of off-the-beaten-path discoveries.

I’m getting the house organized little by little, and added this weekly schedule to my slice of a chalkboard wall.  The kids love it, and we have all been referencing it, so I think it’s a winner!

I’m also working on my husband’s office, putting a palette together based upon some fantastic fabrics.  I’m so excited to move beyond the messy walls that the wallpaper left behind, and turn it into a refined and masculine office for him.

And the palette has changed a bit, since this photo.  I swear, I think I’ve been to my favorite fabric store more times in the last month than I have been in the past 10 years.  Love it!

I also finished painting my friend’s kitchen cabinets, and we are awaiting cabinet hardware, so once that’s done, I will share the dramatic reveal.  They look beautiful!

Ok, what have you been up to this month?  Please share!
