Fireplace Makeovers
You know how much time I spent on my own fireplace makeover, and I still love seeing them transformed. I’m blown away by this fireplace transformation at DIYAffair. Jason used Airstone and some crafty carpentry work to give this fireplace a facelift. The difference is nothing short of spectacular – you won’t believe how this fireplace looked before he worked his magic.

Traditional Painter
I have a secret to share if you are looking to paint your cabinets. I have stumbled upon a treasure trove of knowledge and information at a lovely site based out of the UK called Traditional Painter. They require permission to share photos, but it is worth your while to check out some of their amazing kitchen projects. They handpaint their kitchens, but there is not a brushstroke in sight. The best part, is that they share their methodology, tools, paints, even videos showing their techniques! I have been spending a lot of time reading, researching and learning over there!

Tile Shopping
I’ve been doing a lot of tile shopping lately, for my parents master bathroom redo, and for another client who is remodeling her kitchen. I never tire looking at the gorgeous patterns and colors that are available! Makes me want to tear out all of the tile in my master bathroom and transform it into something like this:

With a shower like this perhaps:
Or a lovely backsplash tile like this:
And such clever ideas of incorporating great accent tile with a classic subway tile.
What I Don’t Like
The one thing I don’t like right now is dentists. Well, let me rephrase that – I have a love/hate relationship with dentists. Was in lots of dental pain because of dentists, but that pain was also relieved thanks to a dentist. Sounds like a conspiracy to me…
