Pottery Barn Lamp Knock Off

Hello!

Did you make it through Halloween?  We did, even though the weather was pretty stinky – windy and really rainy by the time we finished trick-or-treating.  But, the kids were troopers and we didn’t drive them around to trick or treat like some parents did.  Seriously people?  Granted, the weather wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t like it was lightning or anything like that.  I say that’s part of the experience – you gut it out for loads of candy, right?  I guess I’m old school like that, and thankfully so are my kids.

Anyway – I had to share this fantastic lamp that I scored at Goodwill, priced at a mere $4.99.

Great lines, right?  Perfect foundation for a lamp makeover (and really, not so bad as is, if you ask me).

But, the moment I saw it, I had a vision:

Pottery Barn – Architectural Salvage Square Urn Lamp Base – $200

Do you see it?  Are you feeling where I’m going with this?  Going to give it a go this weekend – I’ll report back on Monday with my progress (or epic fail).

My staining palooza has continued into the kitchen breakfast bar area…  I’m a staining maniac!

Have a wonderful weekend!  We have our family photo shoot for Christmas this weekend, which the kids look forward to every year .  Wish me luck!

What projects are you working on this weekend?
