Friday 5+1 (5 Things I Love + 1 Thing I Don’t) and a Giveaway!

Hello!

Here we are, at the end of another week already.  The trees are rapidly changing and are absolutely gorgeous, so I’m trying to enjoy every bit of it before everything goes bare and depressing for the winter.

Some fun things on my 5+1 list this week – I think you’ll appreciate them as much as I do.  This post contains some affiliate links.

DIY Gallery Art
Gallery walls continue to be a hot trend, and I have more than my fair share in my own home.  But sometimes it’s hard to figure out how to compose your gallery wall, right?  Enter DIY Gallery Art.  I spotted these at Hobby Lobby this week, and they’re just plain fun.  Plus they make creating a gallery wall easy.

It’s a booklet of gallery art that you just cut out, frame, and hang on your wall.  You can use as little or as much as you’d like.

There are lots of options too.  Here are a just a few of them.

Life is Beautiful

What girl wouldn’t love the Young Girl gallery art?

One more, and then I’ll stop – sorry, I can’t help myself.  The chalkboard art is fun too.  There, done.

Handmade at Amazon
Have you seen this yet?  I just discovered it yesterday.  Handmade at Amazon looks like it’s Amazon’s take on Etsy – offering a bunch of different lines of handmade products.

I’m digging these key chains

Personalized cutting boards maybe?  A great wedding or Christmas gift.

I’m loving this monogrammed one.

Disposable Table Runners
I must have Thanksgiving on the brain since I’m hosting this year, and these table runners provide a fun way to change things up a bit.  Whether it’s the kid’s table, or the adults, there’s something for everyone.

I saw these at my local Fleurish Home store –

They’re made by Kitchen Papers.  I’ve seen their fun placemats, but there are lots of fun options with the chalkboard table runner too.

Or this pretty cutlery runner

I love their Christmas options too.  This one caught my eye – how fun and festive!

How gorgeous would this black and white table runner be with some gold accents for your holiday dinner?

Just something to think about as you start to ease into the holidays.

Luxury Loungers at the Movies
When I saw this sign at the movie theater, I wasn’t sure if they were selling loungers or adding them to the theater.  Well, they’re adding them to our movie theater, and I’m a little too excited about it.

Uncommon Gifts
I love finding gifts that are off the beaten path, and that’s where Catching Fireflies comes into the picture.  They have wonderful a wide range of options that are bound to fit your needs.  Like these cute office accessories:

This book is a fun stocking stuffer, yes?

I love things like this, in my office or not – doesn’t matter to me.

My husband is impossible to buy for these days, so I’m always on the lookout for something new.  Catching Fireflies has a great selection of fun guy gifts.

How about this book for the traveler in your family?

A book for the history buff:

This book could be for any man –

They just have a great selection that cover every base, and I love that.  Who wouldn’t want to share a plate like this?  What a great hostess gift.

The best part is that they’re offering a giveaway and a 20% discount code (use the code STYLE at checkout).  It’s good for 30 days from today.  The giveaway is for a $43 gift certificate at Catching Fireflies.  Why $43?  Because it’s whimsical, just like their gift ideas.  Three ways to enter:

  • Check out their Facebook page

My +1 for the week – mystery bruises.   Is this a phenomenon with anyone else?  I can be getting ready and look in the mirror and see a bruise and not recall how/where/why I got it.  I am not the most graceful person in the world, and have a tendency to run into things, but sometimes it gets a little ridiculous.  Perhaps it’s just another side effect of getting older.

Good times.

Have a great weekend!
