Homearama Week – Day Four!

Hello!

It’s been fun going through all of the pictures I took on the tour since all of the homes seem to blur together when you’re actually taking the tour.  This next home ranks towards the top of my list for a lot of reasons, but I’ll let you be the judge.

The Bella Noelle
Price: $1.5M

This home is another single level home plus a basement, and the exterior is eye catching from the start.

Upon entering this home, the office was to the left.  Lots of wood here – a wee bit too much wood for my personal taste, but you couldn’t help but appreciate it.

I do love the floors.

I did like the door.

To the right was the dining room – much more glam than the office.  I love the chandelier in here.

From here, we went upstairs – 

Three bedrooms up here – 

Along with a tv area in the central hallway.

And girl’s room, complete with a hot pink ceiling.

I loved this bedroom – such a pretty color palette, don’t you think?

After we toured the upstairs, we made our way to the basement, which I think ranks as my favorite of all of the tours.  Even though it is kind of a man cave – there was a touch that won me over.

This is one of my favorite basement furniture pieces ever.  How cool is this?

And the Harley Davidson niche (I think it’s a Harley – I didn’t get a look at it up close) – to confirm the man cave functionality of the room, in case there was any doubt.

Poker room – 

I had to get a close-up of the stone work in this home.  The stone style is similar to my DIY fireplace redo, and I’m jealous of their mad-grouting abilities.

One huge tv mounted on the wall isn’t nearly enough.  We need three.  Framed in neon.  On a wood planked wall.

In case you’re counting – there are FIVE tv’s in the basement alone.

We made our way to the bathroom down here, and were surprised at how girly it was in comparison to the rest of the basement.  So lovely!  And that floor is awesome!

And then next door, we discovered the Men’s Room, complete with urinal and everything.  Of course there’s a Men’s Room and a Ladies Room – it’s only fitting, right?

And would you just look at this sink?

Let me give you a closer look.  How stinking clever is that?  I absolutely love this.  

Back upstairs – back to civilization.  The ceilings in here were spectacular.  Such a stunning detail with the beams and the barrel ceiling that runs through the space.  Gorgeous.

Headed back towards the master bedroom, with a peek at the powder room.

The master bedroom – great seating area surrounded by windows in here too.

The master bathroom didn’t disappoint either.  Behind that stone wall is a walk through shower.  Yes, walk-through.

We got a kick out of this one – and my girlfriend did a shower demo.

The vanity area was beautiful with the gray woodwork and open shelving (although I don’t think I could pull off that neat look over the long term.

The master closet went on for miles…

From here, we went outside, and I couldn’t help but notice the wall of french doors.

Back inside, we toured the eating area off of the kitchen.  Fantastic light fixture.

But, oh, those beautiful beams!  And I love this paint color too.  Great colors in this home.

The kitchen was a stunner – great colors, backsplash, lighting, you name it.

These glass front cabinets – perfection.

And a gorgeous graphic backsplash.

The pantry is spacious and smart.

You can walk through the pantry when you’re coming in (through one of the entrances) with groceries.  See, I told you it was smart!

A separate laundry room/office area too.

And a wonderful wide mudroom area.  Oh, to have all of these functional and separated areas!  Again, I love the colors in here.

I love how this main floor functions.  It really works, and I could see how a family could live here.

Reluctantly moving on to the next house…

The Summer Breeze

This home was probably my least favorite home on the tour.  While it was the “smallest” at 4,700 sq. ft., it felt choppy to me, and I didn’t care for the floor plan.

When you walk in, you’re greeted with an eye catching beamed ceiling.  I believe the beams were steel, not wood.

You can sort of see a peek at the bathroom to the right in the photo above, but below you can see a better shot of it.  I didn’t like this at all.  It’s like the bathroom was an afterthought or something, and really cuts the space in a strange way.  It’s like a box in the middle of the room.  And who wants a bathroom right where you walk in the front door?

The office had an interesting ceiling treatment.

The basement had an airplane theme.

The ceiling treatment was clever.

Back upstairs to the master bedroom – 

Master bathroom – 

This is a wet bar that runs along the odd bathroom in the main living area.  So, hypothetically, someone could be mixing drinks, while a guest is using the bathroom?  That’s appetizing.

The dining room is nearby, with another ceiling treatment –

The kitchen connects to the dining room too.

And then there is another casual eating area right next to the kitchen also.  Seemed kind of redundant to have them so close to one another.

The screened in porch was nice though, with its outdoor fireplace.

Any thoughts on today’s tours?  Definitely different styles going on again today.
