Favorite Fireplace – Cast your vote!

Hello!

Happy Election Day!  And it is a happy day, because it means the end of political ads and phone calls!  Living in the battleground state of Ohio, I’m done with all of it.  But make sure you get out there and vote!

So, I figured that I’d offer up a more enjoyable voting option for you all – fireplace faves.  As I sit here in my plywood-floored-family-room-awaiting-hardwood-floor-installation with my partially drywalled fireplace, I’m dreaming of a beautifully finished space.  So, let’s take a poll, shall we?

Which fireplace is your fave?  Do you like stone fireplaces or do you prefer wood-trimmed ones with lots of chunky molding?  Or perhaps a mix of both?  Or do you like an old school brick fireplace?  Take a look at the fireplace eye candy below and cast your vote!

It is so nice to see a post like this today! I have been planning a fireplace re-do in my house (which has been put on the back burner due to the hurricane-power outage in NJ). For my family room, I have been leaning closest to #1 – so I guess that one gets my vote! Have a great day!

Oh that's tough. It's a tie between 6 and 10 for me. I guess it also depends on the room. I love the look of stone in a casual space and marble for a more formal space. Can't wait to see your floors and your fireplace!!!

I vote for #3, Stone with a classic white mantel. Since I don't have stone on my fireplace, I'm thinking about the subway tile for my home.

#8 Stone w/ a classic white mantel is my favorite. I love the rustic w/ classic combination. #10 was a close second w/ the marble subway tile and the planked wall above…. Love these two.

Wow…these are beautiful! I can't say which one is my absolute favorite, but #3 and #10 really caught my eye! I LOVE the chunky white mantel on the stone in #3 and I love the clean crisp lines of #10.

3, 11, and 13, I couldn't just choose one, but, if I really had to choose, 11 all the way. Good luck with the floors, I know what a headache a renovation can be, just hang in there 🙂

I would rather go with Victorian combination fireplace. It looks very traditional and enhances the appearance of my living room. I just got it from Strippadoor.
