Chair Makeover

After seeing so many amazing transformations in blogland, I have begun looking at things with a different eye.  Case in point, this chair that was part of a set that I got as a hand-me-down from my mom:
Mind you, we used to have more of these little ladies, but with two rowdy boys in the house, many have been on the receiving end of their playtime, resulting in holes in the rattan backs.  This chair is a survivor, and survivors deserve to be treated nicely and with respect, after all they’ve been through.
I have also been a fanatic about black damask as of late, and have made that a big part of the accents I have been adding in my basement.  So, I figured this would be a good opportunity to add something new to the fray.  This chair is a great addition to my desk and with a little bit of work, she is now a pretty little gem.
She fits in nicely in the basement, yes?
Have a great day!
